What is AstroAnimal, exactly?

AstroAnimal is a relationship-first app that helps pet parents build a deeper connection at home, using astrology as a practical framework, not prediction.

It combines pet + owner birth charts, daily/weekly "sky-based" prompts, compatibility insights, and household profiles to translate temperament, needs, and rhythms into grounded guidance you can actually use. The result: less guessing, fewer clashes, and a calmer, more connected household especially during life changes like new babies, moves, or new pets.

Astrology is the starting point. Connection is the end game.

How does it work? What do you need from me?

We use your pet's birth date, time (if known), and place to generate a birth chart, then translate it into practical insights and prompts. You can also add your details (optional) to understand your pet-parenting style and see compatibility dynamics with other pets and owners.

What if I don't know my pet's exact birth time?

No problem. You can still get a reading using birth date and place (or an approximate location). We'll generate a "time-unknown" chart and focus on the parts that don't require an exact birth time. If you ever learn the time later, you can update it for a more precise profile.

Does astrology "work" with pets?

There's no scientific evidence that astrology can causally predict personality or outcomes in controlled tests. AstroAnimal uses astrology as a meaning-making tool a structured way to reflect on temperament, needs, and relationship dynamics. Think of it as a lens for pattern-spotting and connection, not a guarantee or diagnosis.

Is AstroAnimal meant to replace training or veterinary advice?

No. AstroAnimal is not a substitute for training, veterinary care, or professional behavioural support. It's designed to complement them by helping you notice patterns, reduce friction, and approach your pet with more empathy and consistency. If your pet is unwell, in pain, or showing sudden behavioural changes, always consult a vet or qualified professional.

Is this for dogs only, or all pets?

AstroAnimal is designed for pet families dogs, cats, and beyond. Some insights are universal (temperament, rhythms, bonding style), and we're building pet-specific guidance over time so the prompts feel relevant to different species and household set-ups.

Can I add more than one pet (and more than one human)?

Yes. You can create a household with multiple pets and multiple humans, so the guidance reflects the whole home, not just one profile in isolation.

How do compatibility readings work?

Compatibility looks at how two charts "speak" to each other; bonding style, communication patterns, stress triggers, and where friction or ease tends to show up. You'll see insights for pet–human and pet–pet dynamics, plus practical suggestions for helping the relationship feel safer and smoother day to day.

Will the app explain things for beginners (I don't know astrology)?

Yes. AstroAnimal is built for beginners. We explain concepts in plain language, keep the astrology lightweight, and focus on what it means in real life—behaviour cues, needs, routines, and connection prompts.

How "personal" is it? Is it generic horoscope content?

It's personalised. Your pet's profile is based on their chart (and your setup if you add it), and daily/weekly prompts are tailored to that profile. You won't just get broad "today you'll feel…" horoscope copy, you'll get guidance designed to feel specific and usable for your pet.

What about privacy? Do you sell my data?

We don't sell your personal data. Your information is used to generate your readings and improve your experience in the app. We aim to collect only what we need, and you'll be able to manage your data and settings from within your account.

Is AstroAnimal free? What's included vs paid?

AstroAnimal includes a free version to help you get started (for example, basic profiles and a taste of daily guidance). A paid plan unlocks deeper insights—such as full readings, advanced compatibility, multi-pet household features, and richer daily/weekly prompts. Exact features may evolve as we build, your app store listing will always reflect the latest.

Can I suggest features?

Yes, please. We're building AstroAnimal with the community. If there's something you want, new pet types, better prompts, integrations, or features, send it through and we'll review it for our roadmap.
